Animated flick

 Overall concept of this animation was to capture the movement of a flick. The motion of this animation was created with the intention to move the tittle of the “i” around the page as though certain letters were “flicking” them off. Parts of the letters than were intended to use this flicking motion were sliced in illustrator and then put onto their own layer in order to pivot at a specific anchor point without moving the entire letter. Colours chosen were intended to create contrast within the composition and to focus on the word flick, thus giving the word a brighter yellow color upon the dull grey. American typewriter font was used in order to use the serifs as a main element to the animation, this typeface was also selected as it communicates a more upbeat and playful feeling.
